The France Switzerland Mission
I was called to serve in the France Switzerland mission. I enter the mission home in Salt Lake City on September 15, 1973. While I was serving, the mission name was changed to the Geneva Switzerland Mission. Then toward the end of my mission, the mission was split. I was assigned to the the new mission, the Toulouse France Mission. The last mission was desolved years after I returned. I served under President Sager for most of my mission and estemed him highly as my mission leader.
I have included some of the items from my mission experience on this page to help give the flavor of that time of my life. Truly a mission is a training ground for a lifetime of service.

Album 6, Returning Home
I left my beloved France on August 27, 1975. I was able to stop in London, Ontario and see Will and Peggy on the return trip, and then to stop and spend two nights in Winnipeg with Mom and Dad who were serving a mission in that area. I got home late Saturday night with Joan and Gilbert picking me up in Calgary. I reported my mission to the stake president on Sunday Morning, Spoke in church that day, had an open house on my return that afternoon, and then packed to go to BYU early on Monday Morning. Erva and Gary drove me to the Great Falls Airport, and I flew to Idaho Falls to get the car from Ellen and Dave. Then I drove on to BYU. My life as a Full Time missionary was over but I was called as a stake missionary at BYU and served for the next year with my Room mate, Steve Ivie for the following year. We had the privilege of converting every non-member in our area, a much different experience that I had in France.
